2 Timothy 2:1-2
You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Beloved,
As a worker in God’s vineyard you must see how the church is growing and moving in the program of God, and position yourself rightly. There are churches that the bulk of their members is in neither the Timothy nor faithful men category, but the others group. There is no one to commit any major assignment to, and that is dangerous.
There is a dearth of faithful men because people don’t have a good understanding of church membership and service in the church. The truth is that what you are doing in the right local church will have a generational impact and an impact on the kingdom at large; take it seriously. If you are leading worship in the right local church, it means you are one of the worship leaders in the kingdom.
Take whatever thing you are doing in the local church that is right for you serious. Take every assignment serious so that God will trust you with more. You are in the position you are so God can test, trust, and promote you. May we be found faithful.
