Romans 6:1
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?”
Beloved,
I will round off this series by sharing with you some things you must always continue in on this side of eternity. But before we do that, let’s look at where and how you must never continue.
To be succinct, anything that makes you spiritually dense or does not allow you true freedom that is only available to you through Christ- you must not continue in it. Everything in Jesus allows you to move from glory to glory. It doesn’t stifle you, nor does it keep you in the dark. Rather, Jesus loves to reveal things to you. It’s His desire that you receive revelations that give you the grace to advance in the midst of adversity, advance in your purpose and calling, and advance in life, generally. Any place where fruitfulness and advancement is not possible is not a place you should continue.
And do not continue in sin. God wants you to draw closer to Him, not farther away! Don’t continue to do what you know brings displeasure to your heavenly Father. Don’t keep doing what is pushing you farther and farther away from Him! The easiest way to stop abounding in grace is to continue in sin. Christ is power over sin. Continue with Him and make sin obsolete in your life. The time to discontinue sinful living is now! Let the Holy Spirit help you.
Lastly, do not continue to deceive yourself. I’ve said this before. There are generally three means of deception: the deception of men, the deception of the devil, and self-deception. Self-deception is the most dangerous of all three because it’s up to you to humble yourself to recognize it and decide to stop it!
Beloved, if your life and actions are in anyway misaligned with the Word of God, and hindering your walk and fellowship with Him, stop it! Do not continue.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
