I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Beloved,
There is a purpose for the existence of every person on earth. Yet, many are ignorant of this fact. A person that has not come to this realization will live on earth casually. I call this a general life and it is characterized by the following:
- Living to just to fulfill obligations in an effort to be seen as responsible.
- Living for today because tomorrow is considered as not guaranteed.
- Living as the tides of life dictate.
- Living to satisfy indulgences.
However, a more superior way of living is what I call a specific life. This is a life that has been given to Christ and is living by his dictates. Consider what such a life look like:
- Such a life is God-driven, Genesis 39:9.
- It is vision- and purpose-driven, Acts 26:16-19.
- It is a Spirit-controlled life, Romans 8:5-6 TLB, Galatians 2:20.
- It is a Christ-centered life, Philippians 1:21.
- t is lived by faith, Habakkuk 2:4, 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMPC.
Beloved, choose not live casually. Rather, live in the light of destiny and purpose. Choose the kind of life that God would have you live on earth and into eternity.
