DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NKJV
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Beloved,

As we round up this series, I want us to consider Samson. The Bible tells us he was well known as a man of immense strength and power. Power is critical in the place of destiny; the scripture tells us of how His mother received Word ahead of time concerning his destiny (Judges 13:5). He understood His destiny and the structure he must have in place but he didn’t constantly fuel and maintain that strength with prayer. Due to his lack of consistent prayer life, his destiny took a nosedive, and he exited early from the plan and purpose of God for his life.

No matter how great a man’s destiny is, if he does not support that destiny with a consistent prayer life, his destiny will not happen. The pursuit of destiny that is solely predicated on one’s gifts and senses alone, without prayer is defeatable. Prayer is a product of discipline. There is no gift of prayer, but there is grace to pray.

The more you pray, the more the grace is supplied to continue and be consistent. If someone claims to not have the time to pray, it is because they are not disciplined enough to pray.

Beloved, ask the Holy Spirit to empower you in your weakness– knowing what to pray over your destiny. Ask him to super-intercede on your behalf so you can be in perfect harmony with God’s plan for your destiny. Ask God to guide you with His counsel and for Him to lead you to a glorious destiny.

I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
