Ecclesiastes 4:13–16NKJV
13 Better a poor and wise youth
Than an old and foolish king who will be admonished no more.
14 For he comes out of prison to be king,
Although he was born poor in his kingdom.
15 I saw all the living who walk under the sun;
They were with the second youth who stands in his place.
16 There was no end of all the people over whom he was made king;
Yet those who come afterward will not rejoice in him.
Surely this also is vanity and grasping for the wind.
Beloved,
Apostle Joshua Selman once said that transformation is based on the correctness of the information supplied, applicability of this information and the reference that is given to it. How hot or cold something is will be determined with reference to its initial state and intended state. How are you going to know you are making progress? You know by comparing where you were before to where you are now and where you intend to go. That is not something you can determine based on someone else’s journey. That can only be determined based on whatever God has told you and whatever goal you have set for yourself.
Any information that is going to transform lives must be correct, well-served, well-arranged, applicable and must identify a reference point against which to measure progress. We cannot say something is being transformed when we do not know how it used to look like and how it is looking now. A meal that someone considers warm, another person may say it is too cold. Progress is relative just as temperature is relative. So, we must understand how we were before and how we are now. That is how we know whether there has been a transformation or not.
Now, in determining the reference point as it concerns destiny and transformation, it is God and you that can fully give that, and that is the more reason why you must not completely subject your life to people’s opinion.
So, understand the importance of having a reference point, team up with the Holy Spirit to determine it and then start taking every step in the right direction to where you want to get to.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
