DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Proverbs 24:5-6 TPT
“Wisdom can make anyone into a mighty warrior, and revelation-knowledge increases strength. 6Wise strategy is necessary to wage war, and with many astute advisers you’ll see the path to victory more clearly.”

Beloved,

Life is comprised of many battles. The one who has taken time in the place of training and strategy is never under pressure to finish and finish well.

Beloved, you may not be able to choose the kind of battles you will face in life, but you can choose your own outcome. There is victory in Christ Jesus. When you choose Him, you choose to fight from the place of victory. In this series, we will look at what it takes to develop a truly winning strategy starting with making the decision to live God’s way.

John 12:26: “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

His way is the way of righteousness. It is full of integrity, and it is safe. In addition to choosing to do life God’s way, you must choose your battles- and do so wisely! We said before that you cannot always choose your battles. That is correct, but when you are in Christ, there are some battles you don’t have to fight. Beloved, it is not every battle you should choose to get involved in, and at the same time, don’t allow the devil to choose your battle for you (1 Samuel 17:4,8-9).

A critical tactic of the winning strategy is developing wisdom for the future. How do we accomplish this? Know Jesus as the Wisdom of the Ancient of Days. Follow the example He gave and was for us while He was on earth with us and spend quality time in the place of prayer. Pray ahead and think bigger than your individual picture. Pray with the mind of Christ:

Luke 22:32: “…but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers”

Mark 14:38: “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”

The last step we will touch on today is the importance of thinking and planning ahead.

Proverbs 20:18: “Plans are established by counsel; by wise guidance wage war…”

Have a destiny team that includes someone you are accountable to that will partner with you to think, pray and plan ahead.

We will continue with more next time. Until then, I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
