Divine Emphasis – Divine Offers (II)

Beloved,
You must learn how to respond to divine offers because at some point in your life, God will make you a divine offer.
 Peter after fishing all night without catching anything was tired, discouraged, and had no result, until Jesus made him an offer by asking if He could use Peter’s boat to preach. Anytime God gives you a divine offer, recognize that grace has chosen you and respond accordingly.
 Mary and Joseph – God asked to use Mary’s womb to birth Jesus the Messiah. Both Mary and Joseph had to contend with emotional challenges and social stigma since God’s offer to them came with potential shame. Yet, they accepted the offer and it was the best thing that happened to them.
 If the widow of Zarephath refused to feed Elijah, people would have called her sensible. How many divine offers have you gotten but turned down because your brain got involved?

 Learn to hear both what God is saying and what He is not saying explicitly. Consider the case of Ruth and Orpah. How many divine offers have you rejected because it wasn’t convenient?

Ultimately beloved, use your power of choice to make the decision to go after divine offers. God will never force anything of His on anyone. Recognize that when there is a divine offer, there is also usually a demonic offer. The rejection of a divine offer is an acceptance of or an opening up of oneself to a demonic offer.
