Romans 6:15–16 (MEV)
“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? God forbid! Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves to obey, you are slaves of the one whom you obey—whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?”
Beloved,
Yielding is the invisible bridge between desire and destiny. We often imagine slavery as a negative word, but in Christ, it’s holy — “slaves of righteousness” (Romans 6:18).
Beloved, when it comes you can’t be neutral. If you don’t yield to God, you’re already yielding to something else — self, sin, or the system of the world.
Every decision is a small altar of surrender. Will you yield your voice, your reactions, your heart, or your will? When God calls for your “yes,” it may cost comfort, but it births righteousness. When temptation calls for your “yes,” it promises pleasure but produces bondage.
Yielding is the quiet battlefield of the soul. The Holy Spirit empowers us to choose obedience, but the choice remains ours. And the good news? Every time you yield to God, you strengthen your capacity to overcome sin and resist the enemy. We will explore more next time. Until then, I commend you to God and the WORD of His GRACE. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS!
