Nehemiah 8:10 NIV
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Beloved,
For us children of God, a covenant we enjoy is that there is a solution waiting before the problem comes. So, there is always a way to live through the challenges of life. Many times we want to enjoy the destination but neglect the journey or the process that gets us there. Choose not to live in misery as you go through life’s journey, rather choose to enjoy the process. See this commandment:
Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV
[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! [5] Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. [6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
As you have just read, the Bible says, “Rejoice!” And for emphasis, it repeats the command, saying again, “Rejoice!” Satan distributes sorrow and moodiness because he wants us to share in his misery. This charge is not for you to be frivolous; it is to put the right balance to living life. Could it be that in your bid to make others happy, you are neglecting your own life and comfort?
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
