Hebrews 10:35 NKJV
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
Beloved,
Last time, we established that how we respond in times of crisis matters. We learned the importance of our calmness, confession, and confidence. Today, let us take a more in-depth look at what should be our first responses. It is imperative we master the art of right response. Our first response is especially critical as it dictates the progression henceforth. As you read the following first responses, begin to think about your life and how adopting each as your right response can make the difference:
- This sickness is not unto death! (John 11:4)
- Jesus is the resurrection and life! (John 11:25)
- Jesus is the way, the truth and life. If it concerns me, there will always be a way. If Jesus is the way, there will always be a way for me. (John 14:6)
- It is well! (2 Kings 4:23)
- The Lord will help me! (Isaiah 50:7)
- Be still and know that I am God. This is why calmness is powerful. (Psalm 46:10)
- For He Himself knows what He will do. (John 6:6)
- Peace be still! (Mark 4:39)
- The Lord will provide for Himself. (Genesis 22:8)
- The Lord is my shepherd. This captures the commitment of God in all ramifications. (Psalm 23:1)
Beloved, I want to encourage you to memorize these scriptures and let them sink deep into your spirit. And peradventure a crisis comes to confront you, let the appropriate scripture come out from your quiver to confront that crisis, and watch how God steps in to turn things around for your good.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
