Proverbs 2:11 NKJV
Discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you.
Beloved,
If you don’t think and act generationally, whatever you are doing now will be a waste. Don’t be indifferent to what is happening around you. Don’t be like Hezekiah who was selfish and left burdens and problems behind for his children and posterity. The future belongs to those who do it right, not just quick.
There are certain things that you must contend for their perpetual manifestation in your life and in your generation. Let’s look at some of them.
You must desire and do everything possible to always have God’s visitation, Job 10:12, Daniel 8:26. Contend for visitation that brings preservation. Be open to both personal and corporate visitation. Jesus wept two times in scriptures. The first was at the grave of Lazarus and the second was when Jerusalem did not know the time of her visitation. This shows that it is a tragedy to miss heaven’s visitation.
God’s visitation brings you two major things:
- Revelation and prophecies, these are also known as the vision of the future.
- Instructions that will help you have that future, also known as the wisdom for the future.
If you have to make a choice between these, contend for the wisdom for the future. While others are excited about prophecies, the wise ones are looking for the instructions attached to the fulfillment of those prophecies. Be on the lookout for your personal instructions, journal them, walk in them and work towards its fulfillment.
You must also contend for training: you must go through training and be prepared to train others also. The Bible instructs:
2 Timothy 2:2 NKJV
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
It also says:
Deuteronomy 4:9 NKJV
…And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,
Training is gotten in the place of proper discipleship. Submit to God ordained leadership over you. Be obedient to instructions and seek perpetual growth and development. Beloved, while encounters with divinity is an amazing experience to have, only discipleship can sustain what you receive from encounters.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
