Ephesians 4:8 NKJV
“Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”
Beloved,
Giving is a kingdom hallmark – a reflection of God’s character and values. Apostle Paul reminds us of this in the following scripture:
Acts 20:35 NKJV
I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Many pastors and ministers of today have either abused this critical topic, or they shy away from it completely for fear of offending people. The truth is God’s kingdom is designed with giving in mind. God is love and true love gives freely what expresses value, connection and commitment.
Romans 8:32 NKJV
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
This verse refers to God’s giving grace. God loves you so much, He has given Himself for you. According to this scripture there is nothing He will withhold from us who believe in Him. Beloved, what are you withholding from Him? Is it worth it? Have you given yourself to Him? If not, what are you waiting for. It’s time to freely surrender. It is time to take our covenant with God through Christ Jesus seriously. May His Spirit help us. We will continue with this topic of giving next time.
