Psalm 55:8 NKJV
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.”
Beloved,
We will continue looking at some basic steps to rise above the storms of life:
- Let the following characterize your prayer:
- Prayer for light
- Cry for mercy
Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. [8] When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” [9] Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Psalm 27:7-9 NKJV
- Worship
- Praying in tongues
2. Say the word of faith to the storm. Use specific words to address the situations. For instance, when Jesus had the experience of a literal storm, He addressed the storm by saying: “peace, be still”. The weakest voice that speaks out what God says is more effective than the strongest thought that is directionless.
3. Choose to be motivated and receive the help of God. The following places are where and how you can be motivated:
- Self-motivation. Most of your motivation will come from you. The Bible says that David strengthened (motivated) himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6).
- Motivation by people of like-mind (Paul and Titus)
- Faith and Covenant motivation
- “What is at stake” motivation
As I round off, I pray Psalm 107:29-30 over you. May the Lord calm the storm and cause its waves to be still. May you be glad at the quiet of the storm. And I pray for you that the Lord guide you to your desired haven.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
