But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers.
Beloved,
Acceptable worship is determined by how spiritual you are and how spiritual your worship is. God is looking for those that will worship Him from their heart, from their inner self and not from their lips. How true is your worship?
You must be true enough to let God know your struggles. Don’t pretend to be perfect or put up a front before God, be real with Him. Fear what God says you should fear and teach your children likewise. Don’t profane the things of God, continue to live your life in the consciousness of the fact that one day, you must give an account of all you say and do to God.
The state of your heart also determines whether your worship will be acceptable or not (Deuteronomy 30:10, CEV). A true heart is determined by:
- The sincerity of your heart.
- The genuineness of your motive.
- How connected your mouth is to your heart.
- The singleness of your heart.
- The circumcision of your heart.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
