Exodus 3:3
Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight…why the bush does not burn.”
Beloved,
We established a few days ago that when God speaks, it is our responsibility to listen. The fact that you did not pay attention or maybe you heard but did not understand, does not absolve you from responsibility and accountability when it comes to rightly responding to the word of God.
How can you make sure you hear God well? Firstly, you must know how God speaks to you. For some people, it is through their dreams, while He may speak to another person through songs. The more time you spend in the presence of God and as you pray and meditate on His word through scripture, the more acquainted you will be with how He tends to speak to you.
He will also speak to you through your spouse, pastor or local church; you should be in covenant relationships with these people. This is why it is wise not to have offense and to remain faithful. You do not want to miss what God has for you in those places of covenant.
Position yourself to hear Him clearly in your secret place. Know when He is talking to you through your spouse. Be faithful in service at your local, God–ordained church and be rightly aligned with your God–ordained pastor so that you don’t miss God’s word for your life.
Tomorrow, we will continue to discuss how you can be sure to hear God well.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
