Likewise, deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.
Beloved,
The subject of faith is what we must continue to learn until we see Jesus. Scripture tells us that faith is a mystery on its own. It is termed a mystery not because we cannot understand it, butbecause to our natural senses, it is difficult to comprehend. Once you open your heart to receive of the Father the revelation of faith, you will begin to gain the understanding of it.
Faith is not mystic; it is only a mystery because its understanding is given to only those who have mastered its use, just like how the Chinese language is a mystery to those who are not from that region.
When something is a mystery, it means proper attention must be paid to it for it to be well understood. We were told to hold this mystery – why you may ask? It is because the subject of faith is a spiritual subject and one of the characteristics of anything that is spiritual is that it is slippery, you can easily miss it if you are not careful.
Beloved, to have a grip of it, you need to pay attention to it. You must hold this mystery because your entire life as a believer depends on your faith system.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
