Colossians 3:15-17
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body: and be thankful.
Beloved,
To receive means you are open enough for a force to come into your life. So I ask you today, how much of God have you received? Matt 10:41 says,
“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”
Matthew 10:41
When you receive Jesus as the Prince of Peace, you have the reward of peace, when you receive Him as a healer, you have the reward of healing.
When God wanted to introduce himself to the people of Israel, He said, “I am who I am,” meaning I am who you call me to be, I am who you receive me to be at any point in time.
The book of Hebrews 11 says the same thing, whoever that comes to Him must know that He is. He is what? He is whatever thing that you put in front of the “is”. The Bible makes us understand in John 6:21 that when the disciples were willing to take Jesus aboard the boat, something immediately happened in the dynamics of their journey, everything changed because they willingly received Him.
Beloved, I ask again, are you willing to receive Jesus as the Prince of peace? Doing this will make celebrating this Christmas and subsequent ones more meaningful for you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
