Journey to Wealth VII
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:18, KJV
Beloved,
Last time, we began discussing the power of obedience to the natural and spiritual laws of wealth. We rounded off with the law of seed . Anything you have in your hand that is too small to meet a need must be a seed. The law of seed requires you to sow into good soil and expect increase. If you can heed the law of seed, you can rest, assured that your increase is guaranteed.
Another law you must learn to obey is the law of worship , which says that you should give thanks in all circumstances. You don’t wait to see the blessings before you praise Him. You praise Him habitually for who He is and because He has been and forever will be faithful. As you worship, there are so many things God will continue to do on your behalf. You worship Him because of your destiny in Him: wealth is your heritage and part of your identity as a son of God.
Yet another law you must consciously obey is the law of time and timing. The Bible says this:
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1, NKJV
Jesus also said this in the book of Matthew:
and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
Matthew 16:3, NKJV
Be mindful of the times and seasons at hand. Know when it is time to harvest. Don’t find yourself to be like Gehazi where his master, Prophet Elisha eventually had to ask him before informing him of the curse that ensued:
Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?
2 Kings 5:26, NKJV
Gehazi was collecting harvest when it was not the time to be doing so. It cut him and his children off from major blessing (2 Kings 5). May you not miss right timing in Jesus’ name.
The final law we will look at is the law of activating right spiritual climate. There are things you must be ready to do to set things in motion. Worship and sowing of seeds are just a few examples. You must seek God to know how to set the atmosphere for wealth to take place. Next time, we will look at how to create channels for wealth.
