Ephesians 6:4 KJV
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Beloved,
One of the things that makes God to be such a good Father is His consistency. God is faithful to do what He said He will do. Dearest mothers and fathers, are you consistent? Are you faithful? If you will not provoke your children to wrath or drive them away from desiring to know the God of your salvation, it’s important to develop the habit of consistency. Doing what you said you would do and ensuring your confessed priorities are indicated in your speech and living.
Did you know it is quite possible to introduce your child to another god unaware? Anything you’re allowing to do and be for you what God ought to do and be is sending mixed signals to your children. It does not matter if you declare God as your Savior and Lord all day long, if your children are seeing clearly that you are consulting and dining with other gods.
You must systematically introduce God to your children: first as Savior, then as Lord. Otherwise, you’re only teaching them religion.
Another thing is that you cannot be so hyper focused on them looking like Christians, so much so that you are not checking in to see if they are truly growing or if they have any questions.
Beloved, don’t fall into the trap of raising your seeds in confusion. God is a God of order. He never leaves us stranded. He sent us His sweet Holy Spirit to ensure our ways are established in Him as long as we allow Him to lead us.
Tomorrow, I will share with us four things every kingdom-minded parent must be cognizant of if they will raise children of dynasty.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
