Philippians 4:9 AMP
The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.
Beloved,
We have been looking at what we call daily life ingredients, things that must be added to your life daily for effective living. Today, we will start considering what I call daily practices. These are things that every serious believer must do daily. The Bible says,
Daniel 11:31 NLT
“His army will take over the Temple fortress, pollute the sanctuary, put a stop to the daily sacrifices, and set up the sacrilegious object that causes desecration.
The devil’s intention is to put a stop to daily sacrifices, and once he achieves this, desecration will begin to happen. Be careful not to allow the devil achieve this in your life. What are the daily practices and sacrifices that must not stop in your life?
Daily fellowship. You must fellowship with the Father daily. There are many aspects to this fellowship. You must have daily interactions with God’s word; read it, study it, listen to it, meditate on it, confess it. Let not the word depart from your mouth and from your heart. You must also the praise Lord on a daily basis. Scripture says,
II Chronicles 30:21 NKJV
… and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments.
Let praise always go ahead of you. Let it be the first thing you do every morning you wake up. Let it be a personal habit to give God praise daily.
Another aspect of your time of fellowship is prayer. You must fellowship with the Lord in prayer daily. Let prayer be your habit, Daniel 6:10 NET. Daily prayer includes daily confession of God’s word and daily intercession. Your prayer time should not only be about you, it should include intercession. Ensure that you intercede for someone on a daily basis. Life is connected and someone out there is depending on your prayer. If a person crosses your mind, say a word of prayer for them; it could be that the person needs your prayers.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
