Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding has all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
Beloved,
God is good but He is not safe. A lion is a very powerful animal, but it is not a safe animal to keep at home. The Bible calls God the lion of the tribe of Judah. If a lion is guarding you, you will be safe, but you cannot play with the lion anyhow; if you don’t handle it properly, it can tear you apart.
God is good but He is not safe, and many people don’t understand that it is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord that makes us to stay on the safe side of God. The children of Israel learned this lesson; they lost an entire generation in the wilderness. All through the Bible, we see people that crossed to the unsafe side of God and the repercussions.
May you not get to the unsafe side of God. Know the limits that you must not cross with God. Don’t see the frown on God’s face as it is not a pleasant thing to behold. The previous series about putting a difference between holy things and common things and this about the fear of the Lord are some of God’s ways of helping us to stay on His safe side.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
