Romans 5:8, NKJV
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Beloved,
As we reflect on another resurrection Sunday, I don’t want us to take lightly the power that has been at play for us! We said the last time that our God is not weak. This means that by default, we are not weaklings. We can’t be. Not only do we serve a strong God; He has an entire salvation system in place that not only activated the salvation power of Christ Jesus to redeem us, this system is also designed to keep us empowered. It’s always at work for us. We only need to employ it.
Redemption is about substitution. Jesus took our place. In other words, the thing we could never do on our own, He got done on our behalf. We only need to surrender and let Him take over.
We talked last time about God as the Almighty. This means that He is not a weakling. One of the ways He demonstrates His power and might to us is through His love. One of the greatest expressions of love is sacrifice. The Bible says:
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
Beloved, God’s grace, love, and mercy are forever at work to strengthen and empower you. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in you. This power gives you hope. Death is not the end because there is resurrection power. He was strong enough to take your place. No matter your weaknesses, Christ is strong enough to cover and substitute for anything that might keep you from fulfilling your God-given destiny. You only have to receive.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
