1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your
whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Beloved,
The same way a car has a fuel gauge to indicate when you’re running low on fuel, there must be things you put in place to ensure that your spirit is in proper condition at all times. The following are steps to mining your mind to get it to be productive.
1. You must regularly sanctify your mind, Proverbs 30:12-14, Job 15:15. A life that is not sanctified, although born again, will suffer these three things:
Reproach in the spirit.
Filthiness of the soul.
Corruption of the body.
2. Identify circumstances that introduce filth into your mind and be sensitive to them. Each time you are crossing that boundary, the Holy Spirit is faithful to show you and to bring that caution to your mind, but you owe yourself the responsibility to align and adjust to the Holy Spirit.
3. The church must regularly wash the entire congregation by the water of the word. You will know how filthy a soul is by what it would naturally gravitate towards. Negative thinking as a result of upbringing or life’s experiences is a condition of a filthy mind. You must also be careful of people who introduce the concept of relationships to you. If they
introduce it from the worldly boyfriend/girlfriend point of view, you will be opening yourself up to perverse interpretation of relationship, love, and sexual relations between a man and a woman.
Beloved, once the mind is not pure, even if there is just a bit of impurity in the mind, receiving from the Spirit will be hindered. In other words a filthy and corrupt mind perverts the reception and interpretation of divine communication.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
