Zechariah 9:12
“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.”
In the series we just completed, we learned that whatever we yield to, we become slaves to eventually. I pray you have made the decision to say no to sin, choosing, instead, to yield, fully, to God and all He has put in place to move us forward in life.
Earlier this week, we talked about His provision of Grace. Today, let’s talk about hope.
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Colossians 1:27
Christ’s sacrifice means that as long as we have life, we have hope.
“Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil…”
Hebrews 6:17-19
As Christians, we love to talk about faith. The truth is there may be times, for whatever reason, that our faith is weak. Though our faith can fail us, God can never fail. He is so merciful that He has put a system in place that makes it impossible for anyone who trust in Him to fail. Jesus is the hope of glory indeed. Hope is a gift of Christ we can hold on to until our faith is strengthened. May we all be fully yielded to God’s great gift of hope for all, in Jesus’ mighty name.
I commend you to God and the WORD of His GRACE. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS!
