Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Beloved,
You must know God’s way of getting your attention. It is possible for a man to walk the surface of the earth without scratching the surface of his destiny under God. This can happen when a man is insensitive or disobedient to God’s voice so much so that he stops hearing Him. An example of what I mean is what happened to Saul, the first king of Israel; God went silent on him and instructed Samuel to anoint another person in his place.
Don’t let God keep quiet on you because that is a dangerous side of God to fall into. There are certain things God is calling your attention to and to which you must respond.
1. Respond to the divine call. This is a call to repentance for unbelievers and believers alike, but in this context, more for the believers. You will know you are far from God when nothing of yours is traceable to God. Some believers are attempting to live life without God’s involvement. Such people are not living by the principles of God and His kingdom, Joel 2:12-13. Respond to what God is telling you to do now! Respond with your humility and by asking for His help. Choose your battles wisely, stop fighting and blaming God because a fight with God is a fight you cannot win. If you leave God, it is bad; if God leaves you, it is hopeless.
2. Respond to the call of true worship, Psalm 29:1-2. Don’t let God manage you or have to tolerate your presence. Be a true child to God in every sense of the term. Ask yourself sincerely, is the glory you give to God the glory that is due to Him? Is your worship of God worthy of Him? Is your thanksgiving to God, after He has done what you prayed for, worthy of Him? Don’t give God scraps of your money, your time, and your attention, John 4:23. Let your heart be connected to your mouth in the worship of God.
3. Respond to the call to holiness, 1 Peter 1:15. You must understand that holiness has a direct relationship with our conduct, 2 Peter 3:10-11. Righteousness is God given and can’t be improved upon; holiness on the other hand needs to be worked upon. What God sees is the righteous of Jesus that is bestowed on us, but what men see is our holiness. This is why the Bible emphasizes holiness in conduct and behavior. Without holiness, no man can see God. Stop keeping secrets with the devil; he will expose you at a place where there will be no coverups James 4:4.
