Ephesians 4:2 NLT
“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”
Beloved,
Beware of your vulnerabilities. The devil is defeated, yes, but it does not mean you should make yourself vulnerable to his attack. You make yourself vulnerable to demonic attacks through perpetual sin and by trying to live your Christian life in isolation. The above scripture let us know we will all have times of weakness, but we should be patient with each other. Don’t allow offence and other negative habits to keep you from giving and receiving love from brethren in Christ.
The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that all fall short of the glory of God. God has made us to be a part of the body of Christ so that we can show love to one another, compliment one another and cover one another’s weaknesses among other things. Many Christians feel they can be Christians in isolation. Others are part of the body, but they are not connected enough to have people of God who they are accountable to. That is very dangerous. If you are struggling with sin or anything, the most dangerous thing you can do is keep it to yourself or try to fight it alone. You must be willing to be vulnerable where it matters, lest you open yourself to vulnerabilities that allow the devil to wreak havoc in your life. If you want to defend your victory in Christ, stay connected to the body of Christ, have a sound pastor you answer to and be honest about your shortcomings so that you can get help so the devil won’t help himself to your destiny.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
