Zechariah 8:12 NKJV
For the seed shall be prosperous, the vine shall give its fruit, the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew— I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these.
Beloved,
It is God, Himself who sets the solitary in families. He sets His children in the right family, with the right leadership ordained especially for them in order to achieve both His individual and corporate purposes.
In todays’ Daily Plug, we will look at some of the characteristics of seed members, that is, those who are active members of their God-ordained local church. One of the first attributes of a seed member is that they accept the pastor of said church their pastor; and the church as their God-ordained spiritual family. Let’s see an example from God’s word:
John 6:66-69 NLT
At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.”
There may be seasons in life where due to circumstances or even your personal growth or revelation, you will need to move from one church to another. But a time must come when God situates you. When He does, stay put! Choose to be well planted in that place.
Just like the seed of an oak tree does not look anything like the tree it grows to become, many seed members and their situations don’t look like their future selves initially. But if such people are willing to learn and remain open to every change needed to become part of the house that God has placed them, then they will enjoy divine process and distribution as God has ordained for all His children.
Beloved, there is no room for passivity in the kingdom of God. If you are an active member of your local church, then you are also a seed member of that church and you will enjoy maximum kingdom benefits accordingly. We will review more characteristics of seed members next time.
