1 Samuel 16:1
Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?
Psalms 141:5
Let the righteous strike me; It shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil; Let my head not refuse it.
Beloved,
One of the major components of growth and training is the voice of people who are critical to our lives and destiny. Besides training his team how to throw balls and attack the striker, the soccer coach would still need to support his handiwork with words to express his mind and explain the reason behind the acts. Not only this, he needs to motivate and address some issues that will make the collection of the best players form a formidable team.
In like manner, our lives are consciously or unconsciously open to words that positively or negatively shapes our lives. There are many voices that you must perpetually shut down in your life because they are not meant to contribute anything to your live. However, there are some that must not be quiet in your life if you would become a reference point in your generation. Such are:
- The voice of God
- The voice of your spiritual father
- The voice of your trainer
I will be discussing these points in subsequent editions. But remember that your safety is largely determined by the instructions and the counsel you receive from the right sources and you must ensure that you regularly listen to those voices and obey them.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
