Proverbs 28:13 NKJV
“He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
Beloved,
When you uncover sin, you expose the devil, not yourself. We said before that the devil is your adversary. He is always happy and ready to supply you with information that will make sin enticing to you; ask Eve (Genesis 3:6).
The beauty of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is that the Holy Spirit is ready to make intercession for us (Romans 8:34). He is merciful to introduce us to true freedom from.
Romans 8:5
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Any support for continuous sin will always be removed at the point when you are seeking true freedom.
Don’t allow Satan normalize sinning for you. The more you engage, excuse, or expose yourself to it, the more your conscious is seared, quieting the voice of the Spirit as it amplifies demonic voices of distraction and deception in your life. Once Satan succeeds in helping a believer dismiss the convicting voice of the Holy Spirit, he manipulates us into fearing or feeling shame. Satan has stylishly manipulated them into throwing away their freedom and identity in Christ Jesus for temporary convenience and a false sense of comfort. It is the deceit of Satan for men to think they are being condemned when addressing the act of sin. What is condemned is the power of sin, not the person who sins.
Beloved, control your lose thoughts by surrendering them to Christ. Keep your mind on the things of God. Meditate on His Word and His love for you. Never be comfortable in sin. Don’t let anyone make you feel uncomfortable in holiness and purity. Repent and move on! Enjoy your identity in Christ and fellowship with God, Your Father through His Holy Spirit who is at work in you!
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
