Sound counsel is a product of Godly wisdom, and it is needed for every decision one will ever need to take if they’ll avoid making critical mistakes and errors. Sound counsel can come as advice given by professionals and consultants to help individuals and organizations make informed decisions. It can also come as advice given by kind hearted people who do not want to see us make grievous mistakes in life.
Godly counsel and friendly advice are not the same. With advice, the recipient has the capacity to receive or reject it IF they feel it is not warranted. Right counsel requires full adherence OR you will pay heavily for your negligence of it.
With sound counsel comes Godly instructions. Such instructions might not be explained to you. You will need to operationalize your faith to carry them out. Otherwise, be ready to face the consequence of disobedience.
Proverbs 24:5-6 MSG, says this:

When there is no counsel, people fail. What God owes us is His word. Contained within God’s Word is that which will prevent you from making critical mistakes in life- wise counsel. The spirit that moves men to reject wise counsel is an end time spirit and you must not be a victim of its deception.
