Proverbs 8:1-2 NKJV
[1] Does not wisdom cry out, And understanding lift up her voice? [2] She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, Beside the way, where the paths meet.
Beloved,
As we round off this series on navigating the crossroads of life, let us look at some decision-making strategies. To make right decisions, it is important to know how to clarify matters and voices. You must learn to ask critical questions such as
- What is this?
- Who is this?
- What else should I know that I don’t know yet.
- Can it wait?
- Why do I want to make this decision?
Will I like the harvest of this seed in the future?
How will my decision impact the kingdom?
To make right decisions, you must also engage the voice of your reasoning. Bring every under the light of the word of God. What does God’s word say over the matter of concern. The word of God must back you up because that’s where your confidence lies. The voice of the Spirit working through your conscience is an important voice you must listen to. Another important voice the voice of your destiny team – pastor, parents, covenant friends. Run things by these people.
After you have clarified matters and voices, make your decision. Stick to your decision remembering that nothing yields its strength to you until you give it enough time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
