2 Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV
You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Beloved,
Rahab had a bad lifestyle but a right heart when it came to knowing God, His Word, and His commitment to Israel. She trusted Him and His judgement and governed her actions accordingly. That is faithfulness. That’s why it was easy for her to connect to what God intended to do. When God finds you faithful, He will make a covenant with you. Rahab went on to become an ancestress of Jesus Christ.
Again, our faithfulness must be to God, first:
Psalm 78:8 NKJV
And may not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God.
Our faithfulness must also be clearly seen when it comes to man:
1 Samuel 22:14 NKJV
So Ahimelech answered the king and said, “And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, who goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?
Faithfulness makes you look like your Heavenly Father. How do you know you’re faithful? Faithfulness is measured in small things, in how you handle resources and another man’s affairs? It is seen in your holiness. Faithfulness is an expression of the fear of the Lord. It is seen in giving, it is seen in speech, and it is seen in continuous service. Faithfulness is also demonstrated in your commitment to process. Beloved, are you changing as God keeps showing you what to change? Please take your time to self-evaluate.
