Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
Romans 12:2 GNT
Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
Beloved,
Today, we look at another internal component of a born-again man: a regenerated mind. Jeremiah 17:9 describes the state of a man’s heart before it is yielded to Jesus. This is an unregenerated mind. The Bible let’s us know that such a mind is debased, crooked, and weak mind. But a mind that has been surrendered to Christ and is being daily renewed is a regenerated mind.
A regenerated mind has been cleansed from things that corrupt the mind. A person with a regenerated mind is equipped with grace that sensitizes him to corruption and grants him the ability to fight it. A regenerated mind is empowered to say no to ungodliness, Titus 2:11-12. Through the force of redemption, a regenerated mind can host the mind of Christ and function and function like it, 1 Corinthians 2:16. It has been empowered to access the deep things of God.
When you possess a regenerated mind, some beautiful things happen:
- The mind of Christ is superimposed on your natural mind. This is why and how sin will no longer be attractive to you. You enter into a realm of knowing where you know right from wrong.
- Your mind is continually renewed, Romans 12:2.
- It is flexible to righteous change,, Matthew 4:17.
Beloved, engage your regenerated mind and let every pollution be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
