To have a good start and a good finish in life, there are resources to take with you on life’s journey and there are things you must gather as you go along in life. Our Bible text talks of travelling light. Thus means some things should not be taken along, else they will hinder your journeys. Understand what is the most important thing to take with you on life’s journey and pick things in the order of their importance to you. Important things to travel with are:

• Faith- You cannot travel the journey of destiny without faith. Faith is the passport you need to travel as you go into 2023. You must have faith in God, in yourself, and in the vision that God has given to you.
• Right knowledge- Make a lot of research, enough to build faith in you. Don’t conclude that nothing can be done, find out first how that thing can be done. Be willing to pay for the right knowledge. Regularly review the body of knowledge you have had over time because some may be incomplete or obsolete or even wrong.
• Relationships- While some resources can be bought with money, quality relationships can’t be quantified, so be guided accordingly.
• Patience- The virtue of patience is not a weakness; it is a force that will not only give you breakthrough into what you need in life, but it also gives consistency in the direction you’re going.
• Correct identity- Have a correct identity of who you are as a son of God and what benefits that confer. The prodigal son had problems with his identity which was why he went to join himself to others. Help your children to get their identity right so that the world will be unable to confuse them otherwise.

Beloved, carry these resources into the coming year and take full advantage of all that they have to offer, and you will be glad you did so.
