1 Samuel 1:17 & 20
17 Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”
20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name [f]Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.
Beloved,
Hannah was a sorrowful woman because she had not been able to bear a child for her husband, Elkanah. She had been praying earnestly to God to give her a child until one day, Eli the man of God was present while she was praying. He mistook her for a drunken woman because only her lips were moving without producing a single word. She had to open up about her prayer request to the man of God and he granted her the answer on behalf of God. Reading further in verse 20, it was shown that God did it the way the man of God pronounced it would be done.
Many times, we miss our blessings because we do not value the anointing the men of God in our lives carry. No matter the kind of experience we might have had in the past, there are still men of God that carry authentic calling and anointing. The Bible says, if you believe God’s prophets you will prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20).
Accord the priests the honor they deserve, hold God by His words and see how you are going to prosper in all your ways. Remember, God looks at the heart and not the face. So, quit eye service and adjust your mindset toward the shepherd God has chosen for you. It shall be well with you.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
