1 Thessalonians 5:17
Never stop praying.
Beloved,
The past couple of days, we have been talking about why you must pray. I want you to know that prayer is as important in a local church as it is to a believer’s personal life. I will highlight some reasons why a church must pray.
- Prayer in a local church creates an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to move, Acts 4:31; Acts 13:2 TPT. We see in these scriptures that when the first church prayed, the Holy Spirit moved. The Holy Spirit spoke. The Holy Spirit emboldened them. A church cannot see the full manifestation of the Spirit without praying.
- Praying in a church is a practice of service to God, Acts 26:7 TPT.
- Prayer is a system of partnership with the anointed, Romans 15:30; Philippians 1:19 TLB. Where you cannot go, your prayer can go. What you cannot physically do, your prayer can do. By prayer, you can partner whom God has sent to accomplish His will on the earth.
Beloved, the real church is the church that prepares the way of the Lord in the place of prayer. Is your church a praying church? Are you fulfilling your mandate as a member of a local church in the place of prayer?
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
