Acts 20:24
“But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the task that the Lord Jesus has given me to accomplish.”
Beloved,
All of us will finish the work God has called us to in Jesus’ name. There is another scripture I want to call our attention to:
Matthew 20:6-7 NKJV
“And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’ They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.’”
As a child of God, by default, you have work to do. It should not be that you are part of a family and of working age and nothing that is going on or needed concerns you. If you don’t know what to do sincerely, ask. Ask in the place of prayer. Ask your church leaders.
“Whatsoever you find to do that is good, do it.” But don’t just do it anyhow. Remember, God has a standard and will use a rock before he uses or accepts assigned work from someone whose heart was not in the work or whose hands were not clean.
Colossians 3:23-24: 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Don’t be caught being lazy. Don’t be ignorant to think that salvation is enough. You are called to a higher standard of living and there is much work to do.
Matthew 9:37-38
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Be found so doing. I commend you to God and the WORD of His GRACE. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
