Proverbs 21:5 NKJV
The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
Beloved,
In continuing our discussion on the importance of a productive mind, I want to highlight some your mind should not be in. You must never allow your mind to become:
- A degenerate mind. The Bible talks about a degenerate mind as the mind of one who does “the brazen deeds of a harlot,” Ezekiel 16:30. A mind that is able to conceive and act on unspeakable evils is a degenerate mind.
- A debased mind. This is a mind that has been reduced in quality and value. It only takes and produces worthless thoughts and deeds, Romans 1:28. A mind becomes debased when it refuses to retain God.
- A closed mind. A mind can be closed to understanding, closed to learning and acquisition of knowledge, closed to wisdom, Proverbs 8:5. The Bible describes a person with a closed mind as simple or a fool. Do not be simple. Allow the entrance of wisdom into your life.
- A twisted mind. When a mind is twisted, its owner will be mentally and emotionally unsound and disturbed. May your mind not be twisted in Jesus’ name.
Watch out for these unproductive mind states and guide against slipping into any of them. Then your mind can be productive in the pursuit of fruitful endeavors.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
