Philippians 4:10 NKJV
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.
Beloved,
One major side of poverty is the poverty of opportunity. Poverty of opportunity is a coin of two sides. The verse above talks about one side of it and that is absolute lack of opportunity. Some people are always ready but there is no opportunity for them to express themselves. I believe that there are many people who are better in their fields than those who are celebrated in those fields but for lack of opportunity, no one knows them. I am praying for you that you are delivered from lack of opportunities in Jesus’ name.
The other side of the coin of the poverty of opportunity is inability to make the most of an opportunity when it presents itself. This is the experience of many believers. Grace makes opportunities come their way due to their redemptive right in Christ, but many believers do take advantage of them. The reasons range from lack of discernment to laziness to procrastination and so on.
I tell people every time that no one would say that God failed him. If believers fail, it is not because the devil is that powerful, it is because they did not rise up to play their part.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
