John 5:17
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
Beloved,
Jesus said in the book of John 5:17 (NIV), “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working”. The Father is always working but the problem is we are not working in consonance with God. I pray that God will align your work with His work at all times. The Bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God that works in you; so what you are working on should be what God is working on. Don’t ever find yourself working against God. Some Christians are walking with God, but they are not working with Him. This is because they don’t know how God works.
Two ways you are going to find how God works is to know how to live by faith and how to be led by the Holy Spirit. You don’t know everything; God knows everything and the Holy Ghost teaches us all things. If you learn how to live by faith, you won’t cancel what God is doing. You won’t stop what God is doing, with your actions or words.
One of the misconceptions of Christians of our generation is that we think we are to prove the word of God. No, we are not to prove the word of God. Our generation is the generation to apply the word of God. If you are looking for the fruit of the womb, the generation of Sarah proved that God will produce a baby. Sarah, Hannah, and the rest proved that. If you are asking whether giants can be slain, David had proven that one. You are supposed to apply what has been proven. God has proven throughout scriptures to the world that He is faithful. We are a beneficiary generation, not a testing generation. Psalm 12:6 says the word of God has been proven 7 times. Every promise in the Bible has been tested and proven. It is not you and I that are to test and prove it. The Bible says we should lay hands on the sick and they will recover. I am not to prove that; the people that needed to prove it have already done so, I am just to apply it and see it work.
Beloved, don’t pray like people that are testing whether God is there or not. God has given us what is proven, just enjoy it. If you’ve got a good promise from the word of God, you can go to the bank with it.
