Proverbs 22:3 NKJV
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.
Beloved,
We continue our discussion on the prudence of foreseeing things, situations and people, and deciphering signals accurately. We looked at unusual dreams as what must not be left unchecked. Today, let’s consider some more unusuals that you must pay attention to.
- Unusual responses or offers. You must be especially careful when these are come from people you’ve been wary of; people your spirit was never comfortable with. Pay attention when such people make you seemingly good offers; it might just be a bait. Be sensitive in your spirit to rightly discern the motives and intentions behind such offers.
- Unusual request or demand. Such was what David asked of Uriah when he trying to cover up his sin, 2 Samuel 11. He made him some unusual offers too; sending him home to his wife when he should be on the battlefield. Uriah was somewhat sensitive and but was still entrapped through David’s unusual request to his commander. Beware of unusual requests, even from nice people. For example, if a coworker asks to come spend a night in your house for no apparent reason, that should make you pause.
- Unusual solutions. Imagine the solution the women described in 2 Kings 6:28-29 resorted to. Do not partake in anything the Bible does not support. Be careful of the consultations you have with different prophets that offer strange remedies to what ails you. God has already pronounced judgement on those who seek help outside of Him.
Isaiah 31:1 KJV
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; …
- Unusual conversation. Eve got involved in an unusual conversation with the serpent and look where that led her. Unusual conversation can trigger flesh, demonic activities. You don’t have to be nice or polite; you can end a conversation abruptly once you see that it is going no where good.
Having considered unusuals that signal that the devil is near, we will consider unusual happenings that we must welcome next time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
