Numbers 22:31 NLT
Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the roadway with a drawn sword in his hand. Balaam bowed his head and fell face down on the ground before him.
Beloved,
We have taken time to clearly define divine encounter. Every single encounter between divinity and humanity is designated to accomplish a specific purpose that brings glory to God. God is always doing wonders, but there is something extraordinary that happens when He steps into a situation. Every time He shows up, He shows off. Encounter can be initiated by God or man can instigate it. The following are some other truths about divine encounter:
1.It can be ordinary, occurring in the affairs of day to day life and go almost unnoticed, or it can be extraordinary and undeniable.
2.An encounter can come through men used by God. It is not always directly by God. (Nehemiah 1:2-4)
3.An encounter can be a one time occurence or can happen repeatedly.
4.An encounter can happen in private or in public.
5.Every encounter is to achieve a goal (Isaiah 46:10).
We will discuss more about encounters in the following days.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
