Romans 12:1 (MSG)
So, here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.
Beloved,
If God cannot make a demand on your time, then He is not worth your worship. If truly He is your Lord, then He will be worth your time. Before God commits anything to your hands, He will first look at how flexible you are with your time and how willing you are to allow Him to interrupt your activities for His sake.
You must be actively involved in what God is doing and what brings glory to him. Every time you get involved in what brings God joy, it is your worship of him. The content of what we do is what determines whether we are worshipping or not worshipping. If you sing, God is looking for the words that you are using, words of your appreciation, words of your gratitude. This is what shows the quality of your worship to Him.
In learning how to worship effectively, you must know how to worship in a corporate setting and in your personal setting. Many times, we may be good in corporate worship and bad in private worship. At other times it may be the other way around. Both must be well combined if we are to offer acceptable worship.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
