Genesis 12:7-8 NKJV
“Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.”
Beloved,
We learned yesterday that God wants us to take territories. We established the importance of abiding in God’s presence and positioning ourselves to hear from God’s servant until we have an established sign confirming for us the territories God has sent us to. Once you have your divinely established sign concerning the territory God has instructed you to take, learn from Abraham our father, and do what He did. Immediately He he heard from God, He built an altar. The purpose of doing so is to first of all express your gratitude to God for the places He has prepared for you and for equipping you for the journey. Building the altar also represents holiness and sanctification.
You will need to tear down every negative altar behind or in the place of what needs to become sacred for you to connect and honor your Maker.
Altar also represents distinction. When it comes to taking territory in the name of the Lord, you must be able to distinguish that which is good from that which is perfect and acceptable.
Has God called you take territories? Are you ready to get rid of everything that stands in the way of your consecration to God? If so give Him glory by setting apart a prepared place in your heart and daily life to honor Him. It is this opportunity for holy communion, consecration and thanksgiving that will prepare you properly for Him to take you to the places He has prepared for you in life.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
