“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth”
Beloved,
Another trait of an unproductive mind is a cluttered mind. The things of this world should not crowd your mind. Such is what causes anxiety and distraction. It’s also an indicator that you do not fully trust God. The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6
When you are certain that Lord is ordering your steps and meeting your needs, you will set your heart on Him and His Will for your life. Your thoughts will worship Him, leaving no opportunity for worry and distraction to crowd your mind. Take your time to intentionally worship the Lord with your thoughts. When they want to wander and latch onto every worldly thing that will eventually clutter your mind. Bring them back to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
