Do Not Throw Away Your Confidence II
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
Hebrews 10:35
Beloved,
There is no how you you can fulfill your destiny without confidence. But that is not the only reason to have it. The Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews, chapter 11 that God is a rewarder and we must know Him as such if we will get anything from Him (Hebrews 11:16). It also tells us that we must come boldly to the throne of His grace (Hebrews 4:16). In other words, God has so many things He desires to give us. Our Father desires to give us the best of gifts. Among those gifts that He has given us is confidence. Confidence enables you to obtain things that are set aside and preserved especially for you. That’s why He warns us not to throw it away.
Beloved, confidence is like a key or code that grants you access to great and precious things. If you are not confident, you will not be able to ask and receive. Are you losing confidence in yourself? The truth is that you can manage that one. Are you losing confidence in the God of your salvation? That one is dangerous. At all costs, you must maintain your confidence in God. You must be assured, beyond the shadow of a doubt that whenever you call, He will answer you (1 John 4:14-15).
If your confidence in God is failing, ask yourself, “what does my prayer life look like?” You should also get back to reading the word of God. Get back to hearing it also. And get back to faithful service to Him. Get back to knowing Him as a rewarder for, indeed, He is faithful to do all He has promised (Hebrews 10:23).
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
