Do Not Throw Away Your Confidence
Hebrews 10:35
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
Beloved,
A child of God must be bold and courageous, not timid. The Bible says that the righteous is as bold as a lion, Proverbs 28:1. But what cause a child of God to be timid? What causes people to hide? Here are some factors responsible for loss of confidence:
-Lack of faith. With faith comes confidence while doubt causes loss of confidence. As your faith increases, so does your faith.
– Loss of vision, Proverbs 29:18. Don’t be an individual that fills their time with nothing. No matter how much life contend with your vision, never relax your hold on it, stay with it.
-Lack of diligence, Proverbs 22:29. Be diligent, don’t fill your time with emptiness. With diligence comes skill and with skill comes a level of confidence.
– Absence of a man in his place will make him to go into hiding, Proverbs 27:8. A man’s place represents his position of responsibility and authority.
– Repeated failure leads to lack of confidence. It can even make a man lose faith.
-Unhealthy self esteem. A person with an inferiority complex says to himself “I am not needed”. Superiority complex on the other hand makes a person say “I don’t need you”. Both are unhealthy and will cause loss of confidence. Have a correct estimation of yourself powered by who God says you are.
Beloved, remind yourself that you are a child of God. As such, you have access to divine resources to make yourself approved to be a true servant of God, one that is bold and courageous to face any attack of hell and to come our victorious.
