DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Servant of God

2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Beloved,

Who is a servant of God? The term is usually used to describe those who have the call of God upon their lives. But beyond this, servants of God are also those who have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus and with the Holy Spirit. Church attendance does not guarantee that you can enter into God’s presence or that you are known by Him; a relationship does.

A servant of God is an honorable man or woman. God’s word resides in such person and their words do not fall or fail, 1 Samuel 9:6. Like Abraham, such a person has the privilege to intervene between humanity and divinity.

A servant of God has the authority to release blessings, Numbers 23:20. He must be under an authority, and he must be able to release blessings from his personal altar, sacrifice, and covenants.

A servant of God must be alert to the ambush of the devil. In Judges 20:33-34, there was a battle between men of Israel and the Benjamites, but the Bible recorded that the Benjamites did not know that disaster was upon them. This was because they lacked a man of God. Since a servant of God knows God personally, he won’t be intimidated by the devil nor be caught flat-footed. A servant of God is as bold as a lion, he has the courage to face whatever comes his way by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, be a servant of God. Like out opening scripture says, I encourage you to be diligent to present yourself approved to God, as a worker who does not need to be ashamed.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
