Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

The first thing you do in crisis matters a great deal. These three reactions have a way of determining the course of a situation:
- Your calmness. It is an expression of peace and stillness. It is stronger than agitation. Your ability to be calm and still will help you to respond to issues appropriately.
- Your confession. It can be stronger than your prayers at the point of crisis. In crisis, your decrees is what matters most because your prayers at that point may be purely laden with emotions, lacking power.
- Your confidence. If your confidence is cast away in crisis, you will be in trouble, because if confidence is lacking, you won’t have the reward of faith.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
