In our last series we talked about the truth, that there is always more to explore, and I encouraged you to partner with the Holy Spirit to find out what more you can accomplish with His help. Today, I want to encourage you to get your portion!
There are some things that God has especially for you. But, if you are not careful, you will limit yourself to what it seems like everyone else has. How do you know and obtain your portion? Let us learn a little bit from the life of Isaac:
Genesis 26:12-13 NKJV
[12] Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. [13] The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;
Sowing is a major way to reap the harvest God has for you. When you sow into your God ordained place, you get so much more than just a return on your investment. God always gives us much more. We also learn the power of ‘blessing’. Praise God for harvest, but as we see, even after making Isaac prosperous, “God blessed him.” Blessing is what you gain by giving honor where it is due and it is something you can pass on as well. Blessing gives you the opportunity to prosper in abundance. It is what covers you and graces you to maintain all that you have acquired. It gives you an added advantage and sets you apart from the status quo.
May you enjoy that which sets you apart. May you enjoy your portion in Christ Jesus.
